2. JoikuSpot increases 3G use in Operator networks.

JoikuSpot user base is growing fast with cumulative impact to 3G internet use. JoikuSpot internet sessions already average some 20Mb/session. Every week, more than 2 Million Mega Bytes of mobile data is consumed via JoikuSpot internet sessions, originating from mobile phones with JoikuSpot inside, and across Operator networks around the globe. The pace is in rapid increase and translates directly to Operator ARPU from JoikuSpot users. With our JoikuSpot Analyzer Tool we know the exact amount of JoikuSpot mobile data consumption and session averages in every operator network in the world in every given time point, and from which phone models the volumes originate. As for instance, during 2009 (P1-P8), users in Elisa Finland network have consumed a total of 4.3 Million megabytes of mobile data by "JoikuSpotting". Roughly 30% of JoikuSpot users have upgraded to flat rate high-speed mobile broadband with their Operator after having started to use JoikuSpot for mobile internet access.

Mobile users require easy and fast access to internet. JoikuSpot with WiFi (WLAN) can offer this. Laptops and iPods can connect to internet using mobile phone's 3G over WiFi. JoikuSpot software inside mobile phone shares the phone's 3G internet connection over WiFi to laptops and other WiFi devices. WiFi can offer faster internet speeds and convenience of 1-click access, and capability to share the connection with multiple devices in parallel. Connections can be secured just like with any other WiFi base-station.

Users of JoikuSpot are extremely satisfied with the solution. 66% of JoikuSpot users use JoikuSpot on a weekly basis. Deployment is easy. To get the solution one only needs to have JoikuSpot software in his phone, with 1-click capability to share his 3G over WiFi.
